“TIRED IN WAR”

“TIRED IN WAR”

“And Gideon came to the Jordan, and he and the three hundred men that he brought with him passed by, tired, but still in pursuit.”
(Judges 8: 4)

“Tired, but still chasing”, that is the disposition of those who were called by GOD. War is daily, but we have the promise of victory. And in that promise, we remain strong in battle. Even tired, we do not give up. Even tired, we stand firm in faith, firm in promise and in the practice of the Word.

Tired, more still chasing. Chasing victory, chasing goals, chasing the answer, chasing enemies. Attentive to battle, even when it seems that we will not endure. We endure, because we are not alone. We are not alone because we made a pact. An alliance with the One who promised us, from the beginning: “And behold, I am with you every day, until the end of the world.” (Matthew 28:20)

Then, for the one who stands firm in that faith, the Word that says: “The Lord gives strength to the weary, and increases the vigor of those who faint. Young people grow weary and tired, the strongest falter and fall, but those who trust in the Lord regain strength and take flight, like eagles; they run and do not tire; they walk and do not tire. ” (Isaiah 40: 29-31)

It is curious, before taking flight, the eagle stands on a cliff waiting for a stream of hot air to blow in the sky and, launching into this wind, it rises to the highest heights. This “waiting for the Lord” and the “discernment of the hot air currents of the HOLY SPIRIT” represent the main stages of a Christian’s flight plan. For those who wish to worship GOD and maintain communion with Him, it is essential to realize in which direction the HOLY SPIRIT wants to flow and to react appropriately and sensitively (intuitively) to this movement. Even tired, don’t give up.

Stand firm and your strength will be renewed. GOD Himself will multiply them, by your faith.

Dear LORD, renew and multiply my strength when I think of giving up. Strengthen my faith so I don’t forget that you always hold me. In the name of JESUS. Amen and Amen.
