FAITH AND HOPE”

“FAITH AND HOPE”

“He believed in hope against hope, to become the father of many nations, according to what he had been told: So will your descendants be.”
(Romans 4:18)

Abraham is the father of the nation of Israel and also the father of faith. In him are all the blessed families of the earth. He walked with GOD and was called the friend of GOD. He believed in GOD and was justified by faith. GOD took him from Ur, from the Chaldeans, a pagan and idolatrous land, to make him the father of a great nation.

He promised him an heir, but this only came when Abraham was 100 years old. His wife, who was ninety years old, besides being sterile, had no more biological conditions to beget. Abraham, in the same way, was already with his physical body, worn out in old age. But what is impossible for men is possible for GOD. Abraham, against all evidence, believed in GOD and waited, even against hope, and the miracle happened … Isaac, the son of promise, was born.

GOD calls us to live by faith and not by what we see. Faith sees what the eyes do not see, touches what the hands do not feel, and appropriates what is humanly impossible. Faith is certainty and conviction. Faith laughs at impossibilities because it appropriates the promises of the one who cannot fail.

Faith sees beyond the darkness of adverse circumstances and walks resolutely and supremely, even when human hope has already delivered the points. Faith waits against hope, never diminishing. We have been saved by faith and we walk from faith to faith!

Beloved SALVADOR, may he not see the magnitude of the trial, but rather the unmatched size of Your power and mercy. May I not doubt victory, provided that Your presence in my life mediates, and that I understand that trials are part of the growth and transformation You want me to experience. In the name of JESUS. Amen and Amen.
