“A NEW HEART”

“And I will give them a heart, and a new spirit I will put within them; and I will remove the heart of stone from the midst of their flesh, and I will give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in my ordinances, and keep my decrees and comply, and be my people, and I be their God. ”
(Ezekiel 11: 19-20)

The word “heart” in the Bible comes from the Hebrew lêb or lêbâb; and from the Greek kardía. It is mentioned in several passages as the seat of emotions, thoughts and will. The Word of GOD in Jeremiah 17: 9, explains that in its natural state the heart of man is deceiving and perverse, that is why GOD, by giving us his salvation through CHRIST, gives us a new heart.

JESUS ​​also taught us about this condition of man, with a deep diagnosis about true human nature without GOD, explaining that evil is in the heart of man, so it needs to be transformed.

As we do not understand our own hearts, only GOD who “knows the secrets of the heart”, because he examines us in the most intimate for our salvation, gives us a new heart to be able to understand and obey him,
“Because with the heart one believes for justice”.
(Romans 10:10)

By his grace, GOD creates a new heart within us and promises us to “vivify the heart of the broken”, dwelling in our hearts through his HOLY SPIRIT when we believe in his son JESUS ​​CHRIST.

The key is to reflect if we have CHRIST in our hearts … have we received CHRIST in our hearts? It is time to do it, to have a heart obedient to GOD, with a renewed mind, balanced emotions and will aligned to the purpose of GOD, a heart that pleases GOD, a heart full of the love of GOD, that is, a new heart .

Beloved LORD, create in us a new heart through Your HOLY SPIRIT, so that our decisions and actions are the product of an obedient heart and guided by Your Word. In the name of JESUS. Amen and Amen.
