“DETERMINATION TO FOLLOW”

“Because it desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit desires what is contrary to it. The two oppose each other, so that you cannot do what you want.”
(Galatians 5:17)

To succeed in achieving God’s will for our lives, we must have determination. One definition to determine is: Decide something, Establish, Solve. This definition encourages me because I often “establish decrees” as a way to build my determination in certain areas.
For example, if I go through a great adversity, I usually say: I will not give up; GOD loves me, and I can do everything in CHRIST that strengthens me.

Galatians 5:17 tells us that flesh and spirit do not get along. Remember, the definition of determining involves the idea of establishing or resolving. This is important because if you are going to commit to anything, you will have to establish or solve something endless between your flesh and your spirit.

You may not always want to make the effort to be determined, but don’t give up or you’ll be out of GOD’s will. When you are tempted to give up, make “decrees” based on the Word of GOD, encourage yourself to remain determined and decide between your spirit and your flesh while following His plan.

Beloved LORD, Strengthen us and give us the right decrees to continue forward and never give up. Grant us also, the wisdom to acquire the learning you want to give us through the trials and adversities we face in life, so that we can obtain victory, always in You. In the name of JESUS. Amen and Amen.
