“CARING FOR YOUR HEART”
“Above all things take care of your heart, because life flows from it.”
(Proverbs 4:23)
Think about it. Anything that is in your heart will eventually appear in your daily life. Everything inside you will finally find the exit, where everyone can see it. Therefore, I do not want something unpleasant, sinful, and selfish to find its way out and damage my relationships with others, and I doubt that you want it too; hence the importance of taking care of our heart.
A large part of caring for the heart means learning to control our thoughts, our words, our disposition and perspective in general. In the course of everyday life, this is what determines how to handle circumstances, whether we have peace or feel that we fall apart in a stressful situation.
Preside the way you respond to others, either with compassion and understanding or with judgment and arrogance, especially when you disagree with them. You can try to prevent your inner thoughts from altering your words and attitudes, but it seems to me that it is much easier to have kind thoughts to begin with. Spend time in the presence of GOD, and let the HOLY SPIRIT fill your heart with His goodness.
Beloved LORD, we only want our heart to be filled with thoughts and desires that are on Your side, and that there is no room for distress, despair or fear, but for Your peace, love, and trust, that you deliver without conditions to each of your children. In the name of JESÚS. Amen and Amen.
