“Prepare to come to meet your God.” (Amos 4:12)
“As if God begged through us; we pray in the name of Christ: Be reconciled to God.”
(2 Corinthians 5:20)
“Mom … could you ask me for an appointment with the dentist? I want her on Wednesday afternoon or Saturday morning.” I immediately did what my son asked me. But the next day he told me to ask him for the appointment a week later, because he had changed plans. In life we all ask for appointments. We write down the days and hours, move or cancel if necessary. With a few weeks or months in advance, the pages of the agenda are filled, and this seems to last indefinitely.
But there will come a day from which they will remain white, the day of the last appointment of our earthly existence. GOD has already set the date, and there is no number or email address to cancel it. “That day, each person’s body will return to dust, and their soul to God, who created it.”
(Ecclesiastes 12: 7)
Have you thought about that date of your soul with GOD? It is necessary to think about it from today, because on this depends the eternal future. If we appear before GOD without having solved the question of our sins, there will be no going back, because GOD is HOLY and cannot receive us in that state.
He who, during his life on earth, does not repent of his sins, will spend eternity away from GOD, in eternal torments. But if we place our trust in JESUS CHRIST and accept his sacrifice in our hearts, sins are forgiven. From that moment we will be reconciled with GOD and heaven is open to us. Let’s not wait until it’s too late, let’s prepare to meet GOD.
Beloved LORD, We long to dwell in Your house forever, and take refuge under Your protective wings. Oh GOD hears the cry and hears the prayer. In the name of JESÚS. Amen and Amen.
