‘ADMIRABLE GOD “

“Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin: The Lord will be with you, if you are with him. If you seek him, you will find him; but if you leave him, he will also leave you.”
(2 Chronicles 15: 2)

In our society the name of GOD is usually mentioned with little reverence. In fact, many use it in vain. Even among those who love him it is common for them to use the name of GOD casually, without taking the time to reflect on who He is. When we pray at meals, we realize that we are talking to the ALL-POWERFUL GOD who governs all stuff? Our concept of the LORD touches three aspects of life.

  1. It affects our prayers. When we know you better, our wishes will begin to resemble your purposes for us and our requests will be more in line with your purposes. In addition, by recognizing his greatness and power, we will have more confidence that he will be able to achieve great things, and we will dare to ask for extraordinary things.
  2. Our understanding of their justice and goodness affects our behavior. If God has these attributes, it is certainly convenient for us to obey with joy. We will crave justice and hurry to repent of sin.
  3. Our faith will be positively affected. Understanding that CHRIST is holy, compassionate and powerful develops our faith in Him. Knowing our admirable GOD and remembering his great deeds strengthens our trust in Him. Do we personally know our blessed and loving HEAVENLY FATHER?

The LORD invites us to have a close relationship with Him. But, as in any good friendship, time and desire are necessary to know him better and learn his ways. The more we do, the greater the effect on our prayers, our faith and our behavior.

Beloved LORD, give us the wisdom for each day to know you and understand you more, through Your Word, so that we can always lead us along the paths that lead us to Your great will. In the name of JESÚS. Amen and Amen.
