“EVERY DAY IS RENEWED”

“The great love of the Lord never ends, and his compassion never ends. Every morning his goodness is renewed; his faithfulness is very great!”
(Lamentations 3: 22-23)

Many live with the excess weight of the past in their lives. Lost opportunities are recriminated, open doors that were wasted, actions that they regret. They forget that there is a better option: To thank the LORD that, by his Grace and Power, our past has been forgotten, our present is different and our future is illuminated with the hope of everything that has prepared for us.

We must perceive each day as a new opportunity to close the door of the past and experience a new beginning. The fact that GOD divided the days into twenty-four hour segments is evidence that we have to start over regularly. There is always a new day, a new month and a new year.

But in order for us to make use of these new beginnings, we must make the decision to do so. Are you fighting guilt and condemnation? Do you feel bad about something you did years ago, or something that happened yesterday? No matter how much time has passed, the past remains the past. What’s done is done, and only GOD can take care of that now. Your part is to admit your mistake, repent, receive God’s forgiveness, and continue.

In Lamentations, the prophet Jeremiah encourages us with the news that the mercy of GOD is new every morning. Every day He gives us a new beginning. I am so glad that GOD sends a new batch of mercy daily, … we can have a new beginning every day.

Dear GOD, we are so happy that Your mercy is new every morning. We can start again every day. Because of Your love, mercy, compassion and faithfulness to us. In the name of JESÚS. Amen and Amen.
