“LET THEM FLOW”

“But he who drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst. Rather, the water that I will give him will be in him a source of water that flows for eternal life.”
(John 4:14)

Love. Joy. Peace. Patience. Benignity. Goodness. Faith. Meekness. Temperance. They are powerful forces that the Bible calls: the fruit of the Spirit. They are the qualities of the nature of GOD, and when the HOLY SPIRIT entered into us, he brought those qualities with him to impart them in our life. They are qualities that have the particularity of bubbling inside us, of emerging as a spring that constantly protects and cleanses us from the inside out.

Have you ever noticed that you can’t litter in a moving water fountain? The jet of water that sprouts strongly from the inside keeps it clean and protects it from external impurities. In the same way the spiritual source works within us. When we let love, joy, peace, kindness and other spiritual forces sprout from within us, the devil cannot throw his garbage inside us. What can be done to keep the Spirit flowing? Fill the heart with the Word of GOD until the forces of eternal life begin to bubble.

A little at first … then stronger and taller. Decide to keep those forces constantly sprouting from the source of your heart. Do not let selfishness and sin stop the flow. Within you there is an unstoppable spring of living forces. Let them flow.

Dear LORD, may we develop every day the wonderful qualities you wish to impart in each of us. Get out of our life FATHER, all those things that take us away from You, so that only the wonderful blessings that come from walking with You flow through it. In the name of JESÚS. Amen and Amen.
